Description: The Chadian military has announced that 23 of its soldiers were killed in an attack by the terrorist organization Boko Haram while additional 26 soldiers were severely injured. Description: Sudan’s military government has recalled its ambassador to Ethiopia for consultations after military officials stated that the latest drone attacks by the RSF were facilitated from Ethiopia’s Bahir Dar Airport. The drone attack on Khartoum’s commercial airport was successfully intercepted by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) which have stated that Ethiopia’s constant sponsoring of the RSF and its partners from the UAE would not go unanswered. Description: JNIM has continued to lay siege on Mali’s capital, Bamako, cutting off energy supplies and trade, effectively freezing all economic processes in the city. The Azawad Liberation Front (FLA) released a prisoners of war video from an undisclosed location where more than 130 soldiers captured in Kidal during the joint offensive with JNIM were held. FLA has stated that the soldiers would remain in their captivity as potential bargaining chips in any potential dialogue with Mali’s military government. Goita would hold both positions with Oumar Diarra, serving as the deputy defense minister, after the assassination of Sadio Camarra in last week’s joint offensive by JNIM and the FLA. Description: Several people were seriously injured and two of them were reported dead, after a car ramming incident in the German city of Leipzig. The suspect was identified as a 33 – year old German citizen who had previously been discovered to have had mental health issues. No religious, political or other forms of motive were identified by the police’s initial investigation. Detailed investigation was immediately launched as the crime scene was swarmed by emergency responders who were assisting injured civilians and onlookers. The attack was one of many in recent years in Germany as two previous attacks occurred during the Christmas holiday season in 2025 and 2024.
