Description: US President Donald Trump has once again stirred the geopolitical pot by stating that he wanted Palestinians completely out of Gaza and moved to Egypt or Jordan. He added that war thorn people of Gaza should look for a stable and peaceful life elsewhere as the Strip has been completely demolished. His statement has been well received by far – right Israeli sympathizers, such as Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich but was strenuously criticized by representatives from the Hamas political bureau. Trump’s idea was to engage in a cooperation effort with Jordan and Egypt in order to establish conditions for the 1.5 million displaced Palestinians from Gaza.

Description: Aleksandar Lukashenko has secured another mandate as the President of Belarus after a controversial vote confirmed his reelection in which he enjoyed the support of 87.6% of the people. Lukashenko is already more than 30 years in power in Belarus and has all his political opponents either exiled or imprisoned. He developed close ties with Russia and Vladimir Putin and has also banned all independent media in the country. Description: The newly appointed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has followed on President Donald Trump’s executive order and instructed all US foreign personnel to seize with support and funding of all foreign programs, pending reevaluation. The seizure of funding would exempt only special military aid and financial support to Egypt and Israel as well as expenses regarding other locally employed staff. Description: The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has severed diplomatic ties with Rwanda over allegations of sponsorship of the armed conflict and the M23 rebel group. The Congolese army alongside the UN’s peacekeeping force MONUSCO have unsuccessfully tried to repel the M23 as it recently advanced to a key strategic town in the eastern parts of the country called Goma. The UN Security Council has rescheduled their meeting for next Sunday as concerns were raised about escalation to the point of an all-out war between the parties involved. Description: With the armed conflict in Sudan intensifying, the Sudanese Army has claimed victory over the RSF (Rapid Support Forces) in the capital of Khartoum. The claims were immediately denied by RSF officials who blamed the Army for spreading false information and propaganda in order to boost morale. The Sudanese Army claimed they have overtaken the Khartoum Bahri region after a siege imposed by RSF forces was broken into and neutralized. Description: US – briefed sources have cited that Hamas has filled their ranks with additional 15,000 fighters since the beginning of the war in 2023. The numbers attested to the fact that the terrorist organization constant recruitment efforts and human capital enabled them to lead the perpetual war in the region. Hamas hasn’t still been defeated militarily as it was shown in the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire where militants from the terrorist group filled the streets to secure the incoming aid and provide assistance to the civilians. The raised numbers of recruited soldiers although young, could empower Hamas in the future war efforts in Gaza and the West Bank.
Description: Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has threatened to block the next round of EU sanctions against Russia if and whether the Ukrainian gas pipeline isn’t made operational once again. He blamed both EU and Ukraine for inflicting serious economic damage to Hungary since the country has been strongly dependent on Russian natural gas. Orban also blamed the Ukrainian military for the disruption of gas through the Turkish Stream pipeline, which according to him has been attacked and sabotaged more than once. The EU would need to unanimously vote on the next round of sanctions against Russia as Hungarian veto could possibly prevent that from happening. Impact
